Return

It was a quiet day when NightPack members arrived back home. Bodies of dead ones were scattered on the ground. Masses of crupled DeathPack also littered the camp.
Storm hung his head in anguish. So many and yet he wasn't able to protect his pack. Why was that? There was no time to wonder. As he strolled over to the black shape of Sylvanas he saw a gray wolf laying in front of her.
"Tyrande!" he breathed. Solar hunched over the body of her as well. FallenPack had littered the ground too. So many dead. Star had come in great force.
DarkSong looked up at the stars, bewildered. Too much bloodshed had occured today. So much that he felt like running away from this pack and never comming back. At least I'm not the last one left. He thought.
Memories raced through his head. The wolf that had come to worn them, the male counterpart of Night who had died in battle. He remembered Kovilea's fur stained with blood and her old fighting moves from long ago comming back.
The shear thought of it made his bones chill. So much hadf happened that night, and yet this small remaining group was still alive. How could that possibly be? "Star has won." Storm's deep voice broke the silence. "We're over. We should have known!"
"Father! Stop talking nonsence! StarPack is with us!" DarkSong stifened. In all the months he had spent hunting and guarding camp with her it was the first time he had ever heard Sylvanas speak of such a thing.
Storm turned his head to his daughter and nodded. "You are right, Sylvanas. StarPack is still with us. Just like DarkPack is still with DeathPack."
She shook her head defiantly as her father came head to head with her. "But, if I know Frost well enough, he will abandon them as soon as they show a sign of weakness!"
"Sylvanas!"
She stormed off in anger. DarkSong's head fell. He knew that shewolf's powers all to well. She could send her father to StarPack with just one thought and yet it seemed like he was oblivious to everything she did. He had never seen her take down a carribu before. And a strong one at that.
He hadn't seen her kill the bear comming after the defenceless pup that they had seen on their way to find help. He wasn't there for any of it. And yet, he thought, he should know better than to upset his StarPack daughter! Even if she was banished by Frost.
